We have many areas for your photographer to use. We recommend if your photographer has not been to Drenagh before that they should arrange a visit to view the estate before your wedding.

We can provide an area to store gifts however, Drenagh will not be responsible for these items.

Yes, you may play your own music. Couples generally have a playlist arranged to play during dinner or we have a playlist for you to use if required. Any music provided must be on an iPad or iPhone.

We provide table numbers for your tables. Table plans and place names are done by the couple, generally on your wedding stationery.

Yes, you can just have use of the marquee. We have many different options at Drenagh and all can be tailored to suit your needs.

Yes, Drenagh is beautiful in winter and allows for a private, intimate, cosy setting.

A dedicated Wedding Manager is on duty throughout your day. Security staff are here to ensure your guests are safe and catering and bar staff are also included at no extra charge.

Unfortunately for insurance reasons, Chinese lanterns are not permitted.

Our staff will collect items not belonging to Drenagh and place these on the stage at the end of the night, these need to be removed the following morning on your check out at 11am.

Yes, we do recommend you take out wedding insurance. This not only covers your venue, but also should one of the outside suppliers not arrive on your day and gives you peace of mind. This can be obtained at www.weddinginsurance. co.uk

Yes you may arrange coaches. Once these are booked we will ask for their contact details at your planning meeting. This allows us to contact them with directions to the estate on how to access the coach entrance.

Our marquee has fully fitted bathrooms (ladies, Gents and Disability) and they are not a port-a-loo, or a trailer. Our toilets are contained inside the marquee – we are very proud of our toilets. A cleaner is also on duty during your wedding and toilets are kept clean and tidy at all times.

Yes our marquee is fully heated and can accommodate functions in winter as well.

Yes, cars can be left overnight, but they must be collected by 11am the following Day. Drenagh does not accept any responsibility for loss or damages. Cars left overnight are left at the owner’s risk.

We have stunning chivari chairs and therefore chair covers not necessary. However, should you wish to have these, they can be hired through The Wedding Room NI. For a chocolate fountain, sweet tables etc, we can provide tables for these if required. Photo booths are also permitted.

We have an easel along with a silver framed mirror for your table plan.

We are licensed to host events for up to 250 guests.

Yes, lawn games are very popular at Drenagh and go down very well with guests. Bouncy castles, Ice-Cream carts are also permitted at Drenagh in designated areas.

We supply white napkins and tablecloths, however should you wish to have different colours, these can be hired through The Wedding Room NI

At your wedding planning meeting we will discuss and help you plan your day to suit.

Yes, we are able to recommend people for your hair and make-up, please discuss with our wedding planners.

Our tables are 6ft rounds – seating 10 guests. We are able to offer long, round or ‘U’Shaped variations for your top table.

Yes, we have permission to land helicopters at Drenagh and it’s a lovely experience for your wedding day. Grooms generally love this

Between Mondays – Thursday, excluding bank and public holidays we can offer a discount of £5.00 per person.

Yes, this will be discussed in detail and planned at your planning meeting.

All our prices are inclusive of VAT

Should you wish to cancel your wedding, your deposit is non-refundable. However, should you wish to change your date this will can be done with written consent from Drenagh Management and within 1 year of your original date.

Our minimum number of guests you are guaranteeing payment for in the marquee is 100 guests. This excludes children meals.
Should your main reception take place in the house (up to 60 in one room or 80 over 2 rooms for dinner) . In order to have a wedding reception in the main house please not the requirement is that the house must be booked for one night’s accommodation.

Should you require babysitting services for guests staying in the overnight accommodation, this can be arranged at an extra cost.

Guide dogs are permitted only.

We have 6 highchairs available for your ‘little’ guests.

Drenagh does have disability restrooms within the marquee and in the Main House.

Bellarena Railway station is approximately 6 miles from Drenagh and City of Derry Airport is approximately 11 miles. Belfast airports are just over one hour away.

All entertainment must finish at 1am and the marquee vacated by 1.45am.

Yes, you may hire your own entertainment and or DJ. When booking these outside providers, please ensure they have current and adequate Public Liability insurance in place at the time of your wedding, which must be submitted to Drenagh in advance.

Yes you may get ready at Drenagh. However, this will depend on whether or not we have a wedding the day before. Please arrange this with our Wedding Planner.

In line with the Smoking Regulations, smoking is not permitted in the Main house or marquee. Smoking is permitted outside at designated areas.

Only bio-degradable confetti like rose petals can be thrown at Drenagh.

Yes, candles are allowed as long as they are contained in a container and are not a fire risk.

Yes, we have ample car parking on the estate – with car park attendants on the day of your wedding to help direct guests to parking areas.

Yes, we have a preferred suppliers list of outside providers that we would recommend. We are very happy to help.

Yes Fireworks are permitted at Drenagh, subject to Health and Safety regulations. Fireworks must be done by a registered company with appropriate insurance. This must be submitted to our office in advance.

Not at all – quite the opposite actually. Like a hotel we are here to set up your tables, chairs, cutlery and crockery. Our professional wedding team are here to act and assist with co-ordinating your wedding day with us. We will meet approximate 4-5 months before your wedding (between Monday – Friday 9.30am – 4pm) to start your planning. At Drenagh we offer you more flexibility to plan the most special day of your lives.

If the marquee is not in use the day before your wedding, you will have access to set up the marquee with your personal items strictly between 11am – 2pm. Should we have a wedding on the previous day, we will arrange for you to deliver your items to Drenagh beforehand. Our trained staff will place your personal items out on the morning of your wedding as per your instructions

Drenagh is a private, exclusive country house. Therefore our policy is only one wedding per day.

Yes, we provide a Master of Ceremonies along with a wireless mic for speeches.

We can seat 100 in the Moon Garden, however should you have more guests, some couples opt for a more relaxed feel and have half chairs for family with remainder of guests standing since the ceremony is so brief.

A Civil Ceremony only takes approximately 10 minutes, however couples can lengthen their service with poem readings or special music.

Yes, Drenagh is fully licensed to perform civil marriages and partnerships in our magical Moon Garden, Main House and Marquee. Our local Registrar is Limavady, please ask us for more information or contact details. Couples must arrange their ceremony with the local Registrar – separately, however, Drenagh can provide forms to initiate this process. If you would prefer, we are also licensed for your Minister to marry on site with a religious ceremony as well as a humanist ceremony.

Due to our high standards at Drenagh, we have contracted The Wedding Room NI as our sole décor supplier. However, should you wish to bring your own smaller items (example: small jars for flowers and or candles, photographs) this is permitted. Your florist is your own personal choice.

We will require final numbers and menu choices two weeks before your wedding at which time your final invoice will be drawn up. Full payment for your wedding is required in our account one week before your wedding date.

Yes, you can do interim payments towards your wedding. These payments will be held in our reserve account until your final invoice has been made up. Only then will your final amount be moved into our current account.

We require a £1000 deposit (payable by bank transfer) and signed Terms & Conditions returned by post to secure your booking.

Once you are ready to book your special day with us, and we have confirmed the date is available and your church /Chapel or Registrar has also confirmed that the date is available with them. We will then email you a confirmation email. This will confirm your date, included in this email is our Terms & Conditions, booking form and our banking details to enable you to pay the deposit by bank transfer.
